Milwaukee Tools Apprentice of The Month - Marcos Sanchez
There is something to be said for those of us in the trade who can work hard, learn as much as possible, ands still have a smile and a great attitude at the end of the day. One such apprentice is Marcos Sanchez, who has proven himself to be an exemplary worker, terrific student, and all-around great guy.
“I’ve always been intrigued by the electrical aspect of the trades, always wanted to find out how all of that stuff works,” says Marcos, now starting his third year in the apprenticeship. “I see this apprenticeship as an opportunity to get into an awesome trade and to learn from experienced journeymen. I try to soak in everything so one day I can be like them.”
Marcos always makes an impact wherever he goes, always bringing his A game and giving 110% when it comes to his job.
“He is a phenomenal worker, he just kicks butt,” says Donald Rios, a foreman for Studebaker Electric who worked with Marcos. “He is one of my best apprentices and a great guy. Very smart, I can see him succeeding really well. He has common sense and that goes a long way.”
In addition to working hard in the field, Marcos is a joy to have at the JATC during his schooling. His participation makes classes enjoyable for both his peers and his instructors.
“I don’t know that I’ve ever met someone who feels so genuine,” says Will McKee, Marcos’ first year instructor. “He always has a grin on his face, asks great questions, and works with his classmates extremely well. He is always a pleasure to have in the classroom.”
“Take it seriously,” says Marcos when asked if he has advice for upcoming apprentices. “This is a huge opportunity a lot of people don’t get. Take it as a challenge and do your absolute best.”
For his hard work, Marcos will receive a PACKOUT bag and hand tool from Milwaukee Tools and congratulations from all the staff at the Sacramento JATC.
