Application Requirements and Process
Sound & Communication applications must be completed online.
We can provide assistance in the office to scan or upload files. Except for your sealed transcripts, original documents should be color copied PRIOR to arrival if you visit the office in need of help loading them into your application file. We will provide assistance to scan your files and will return them to you upon request if they are dropped off or mailed in. If you do not want your copies back, they will be destroyed.
Characteristics of the Trade Apprentice will typically be under the supervision of a Sound and Communication Installer/Technician at all times. The trade requires physical effort on the part of the apprentice to do climbing, crawling, crouching, lifting, use motorized tools, electronic test equipment and work in cramped quarters. Wiring is frequently color-coded for connecting purposes; therefore, the worker cannot be colorblind. Mechanical ability and finger dexterity is essential. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in new and old construction environments.
